becker&mayer! create, produce and manufacture adult and children's books and toys. The company has continued to be successful and to grow in staff numbers. As a result, this is the third corporate office in which they have retained P2’s services – a new 22,000 sq. ft. office space, with room for growth. The client wanted a design to reflect creativity, a fun and colorful environment and to incorporate areas to showcase their products. Design elements include recessed, terra cotta colored niches for shelving, to accommodate dummy books and supplies, blue “ceiling clouds” (soffits) at hallway transitions and openings to common spaces, plus built-in custom display areas scattered throughout the space. To be environmentally friendly, man-made terrazzo floor tiles, recycled rubber flooring and recyclable carpet were specified and installed. P2’s services also included project management and construction administration.
